Work From Home
An important aspect of working from home is managing your office space. First, you should make sure that your home office is actually what it is supposed to be…an office. If you plan on claiming an expense for office space then that particular space must be used strictly for your business. A word to the wise if you plan on claiming a room in your home as an office, but the washer and dryer are in the same room. Or maybe a work bench, or the ironing board etc. If the tax man ever decides to inspect your home office, and inspections do occur, and finds that the space is also used for other activities then you could lose the tax benefit.
Back to office management. One question for you. Is it an organized office or is it an organized mess? How many times have you heard someone say that their office is an organized mess? What they are trying to say is that although it is a mess they still know where everything is. At least that is what they like to believe. Their office is nothing but a huge bunch of note, papers, files etc. strewn all over the place. On the desk, on the floor, on top of the computer, pile upon pile. You get the picture….it is a mess. This is no way to manage your work from home office.
If this describes your office then you need to develop some serious office management skills. Take the time to do a major clean-up and start to organize your work space. You’ll be amazed at how much more you can accomplish in your work day when you have things organized. If you work from home there may be the inclination to take some aspects of operating a business with a lesser degree of seriousness. This is a trap many who work from home fall into. And having a disorganized and messy work space is one of the areas neglected the most. Working in a disorganized work space affects your attitude and how you approach your work.
What are some things you can do to straighten up your office? There are many different tips and we all do things differently, but here are a couple that have helped me keep my home office organized. First is using a filing cabinet. If you don’t have one, then put it on your list of thing to do. It as by far the easiest way to keep important papers and files in order. It is so easy to have a file for the many different areas of conducting a business. Write the name of the file on the tab and keep them in alphabetic order. However, it serves no purpose to have a bunch of files if you don’t use them. It is important that as you finish with each document that you file it. Do not leave it lying around on top if your desk. Before you know it you have nothing but a bunch of papers covering your desk…and most likely the floor! Get into the habit of doing filing as soon as you are finished using that particular piece.
Another tip to help you in keeping a work from home office organized is to have a daily list of things to do. This is so important, yet many people who work from home fail to do it. The purpose of having a to do list is to keep you focused on the tasks that you must work on. Also, we do forget things! if it is written down on a list you are more likely to get it done. The best time to make a list is at the end of the day. Write down the things you may not have completed that day plus the new tasks for the next day. When you begin work the next day review the list and add or make adjustments as you deem necessary.
Another helpful tip which is related to keeping a list is to have a small notebook with you at all time when you are away from your home office. If you get an idea or something comes up that you must look after when you get back to the office, you simply make a note. Don’t rely on your memory! Even better than a small notebook is one of the small voice recorders that fits in your shirt pocket. These are a very convenient method of making memos to yourself.
You’ll find that when you work from home, maintaining a well organized office will boost your productivity. It gives you a sense of control in your surroundings. You’ll be amazed at how quickly you can find that document or piece of paper when you need it. Keep your i=office organized. It doesn’t take a big effort to achieve this. It only requires you to put things in their place when you are finished using them. But that has to become an automatic response for you. It has to become a habit, but it is a good habit to develop. Make your work from home office a place you enjoy to work.

You have made a decision to work from home. Not in the sense that you have a day job and get paid for your eight hour shift, but in the sense that you want to have your own business. You are going to start part time, as you are well aware of the fact that it takes time to build any business. But you look forward to the day when you can tell your boss that in two weeks you’ll be finished. And that day will come if you do the things that have to be done in order to run any business.

Unless you are very credible with regards to business, I would not follow that route. I have done it in the past and learned my lesson. You are wasting your time by trying to recruit people who are not interested in being in business and having the chance to work from home. Family and friends may become interested once you have been successful and can show them how you reached that success. But until you start to earn some serious income, most will not take you serious.
Well, if you are going to recruit to make your business grow, you have to recruit people that want the same opportunity as you. You will want people that also want to work from home and own their own business. These are the people you have to look for. How do you find them? Learn how to market so you can find these like minded people. Believe me, they are looking for you so learn how you can make them find you. What exactly some of the benefits of working from home, in this article we will address the benefits of a home based business. Well if you have tried a work from home opportunity, I do not need to tell you what the benefits of working at home are. This is being directed at those who are trying to make up their mind to take the plunge and work from home.
Lets take the start of your day. The alarm clock does not ring because you do not have to get up early to get to work on time. You set your work own schedule. There is no boss, no supervisor to make sure that you are at work on time. You do not have to fight traffic when you work from home and you do not care how high gasoline goes because you are using very little. There are no more parking fees and your automobile expenses including maintenance is reduced. Your car insurance is reduced because you are no longer using it for work. You may even get rid of that second car.
You also notice that your living expenses are reduced when you are working from home. No more buying your morning coffee, lunch and after noon coffee. You dress casual so your clothing expense is reduced. No more ties, white shirts, suites, sports coats dress pants.
And the big benefit of being able to work from home is the income tax benefits. You can arrange your affairs so that any income is split with you spouse. You can also write-off a portion of your living expenses against the profits of your business.
The benefit no one thinks about is the health benefit. Your stress level is way down because you are not fighting traffic, your boss or your colleagues. You are eating healthier because you do not have access to all of these fast food outlets and home cooked food is much healthier for you.

The internet is a vast place for subjects, people search for everythings from home based business to make money online. I want to take on work from home as a subject. It has been said that anything makes a good subject. Well we are going to find out really what makes a good subject. In trying to think of just anything that would make a bad subject is quite troubling. So instead of writing about a bad subject, why not make it a good subject like work from home moms and dads. Most people would think, wow, that’s a worn out topic. Moms and dads that stay at home and work have been around for ever. That is why it’s such a good subject. They may be out and about but the creatures are only a scurry or a beeline from home. So if you will it is only a natural genetic inheritance that most have the desire or need to work from home and that means you are able at your will to return to home base whenever you want or are required.. To sum it up; it’s really the old nesting instinct just passed down from generation to generation; and it includes independence.
So if you are seeking a work from home type of job or employment you aren’t breaking any natural laws. You will be working with your natural maybe even genetically designed propensity. I don’t think a scientist could answer that, but just look about and look at nature. The design is there and if anybody wants to dispute the topic, let them. The timing for a work at home possibilities is greater now than it has ever been since man got away from working at home. With today’s computers and internet the potential is greater than it has ever been to be able to work from home. If you have just some computer skills, you are part way there. By extending yourself through education and searching there is no reason that you could not be profitably working from home.
